MyPuffin Collects operates based on below listed policies
- Sign up Process: name, username, gender identity, Sexual Preferences, date of birth, email, photos, phone number, location, & other basic profile info.
- Verification Process: For safety, we may ask for ID or a selfie. We use facial recognition to compare your selfie to your profile photo
- Purchase Related Information: any purchases made, we store your payment info (securely) and may use it for fraud detection where applicable.
- Location Tracking: We may track your device’s location if you give permission as part of your device settings applied for the application
- Messages and Reviews: MyPuffin may review your messages to spot trends, but “personally identifying” bits are removed first; this may also be used for reviewing for reports against the profile where applicable
- Support Services: If you contact our support team, MyPuffin will keep your messages + IP address for analysis and closure
- Marketing & Surveys: We may reach out to take part in surveys or share “success stories” for our marketing purposes.
- Cookies & Tech: We use cookies and similar tools to collect info automatically when you use the app or website.
How MyPuffin Uses Your Information
MyPuffin uses your data to:
- Provide and improve our services for features, matching and new application updates
- Do research & analysis to analyse how people use the application
- Personalise your experience based on your preferences (e.g. showing relevant people or content)
- Moderate and ensure safety of the platform using human and automated processes
- Prevent fraud / abuse when it comes to account verifications and payment mechanisms
- Marketing engagements if you have agreed to such engagements
- Run “matching algorithms” to suggest people you might like, based on preference (profile, activity, and location details)
How MyPuffin Shares Your Information
- Service providers: We share data with trusted third parties (e.g. for hosting, payments), but we limit to must have data shared for hosting and payments
- Legal enforcement: We may share your data to comply with law enforcement or legal requests in case where such processes have to be followed
- Data Pattern Analysis: Data is analyses in bulk combined with info from other users in a way that doesn’t personally identify you
Your Rights whilst using MyPuffin
- You can ask MyPuffin to access, correct or delete your personal identity related information
- If you delete your account, it disappears from public view. But:
- For data erasure, you can submit a “Data Deletion / Erasure Request” — this can take up to 30 days and will be subject to analyse before taking next steps
- If you’re in the UK/EU, you can also make data protection complaints (e.g. via the ICO).
Where Your Data Is Stored
- MyPuffin stores user data on servers located in different countries (US, UK, EU).
- We will take EU and other regulatory approved mechanisms when data has to be transferred across borders if required to keep it safe
Security & Age
- We use recognised safety protocols to store and use your data
- You must be at least 18 years old to use MyPuffin. They don’t knowingly collect data from anyone younger.
- We prohibit child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE), we dont tolerate Inappropriate interaction targeted at a child, Sexualisation of a minor or Sextortion. We will be terminating your account if found you are violating the terms with respect to CSAE and report to relevant authorities where applicable.
